Hi Friends! I hope the new year is treating y'all well. I hope y'all are ready for a long post of photos because that's what's about to happen.
Here's our floor Christmas morning. Granted, most of these are for our families or for our friends, so they're not all for each other!
Ophelia is looking introspectively out the window at our "white" Christmas. It was just a heavy frost, but that's about as close to a white Christmas as we could have this year.
Jared said that this shirt was the best thing I gave him this year. He loves The Big Lebowski!
We write goofy names on our presents. This one says, "To Super Hot from Barely Thawed Out."
Jared gave me this great vintage planter as a gift.
I made Jared an ornament out of a paint brush because he got a new job at a paint company! (I'll tell y'all more about that later!)
Jared gets me. He put Dr. Pepper in my stocking.
Jared doesn't ask for much, but he asked for Corn Nuts in his stocking. I searched at three different stores, but I couldn't find them. Finally I found them at the gas station!
Once we finished up our personal Christmas, we went over to Jared's parents' house to have Christmas with them. Buckshot came along with us, but he wasn't too sure about Peaches the cat.
Pops loves dogs.
Jared and I had Christmas with my parents on Christmas Eve, but this was the only picture I took. At Jared's parents' house everyone opens a present one at a time, so everyone can see what each person got, so there was plenty of time for pictures. At Mama and Daddy's everyone kind of goes at once, so there was less picture-taking time!
Oh! I lied, this is from Christmas too! These brothers love each other!
And now for Photo Friday!
Jared likes carrying Buckshot around on his shoulders. Buckshot likes it too even if he looks like a devil dog in this picture.
The day after Christmas Jared started getting sick. It was so pitiful because he never gets sick, and he even asked me to go to the store and get some medicine, so I knew it was serious then.
Jared recovered enough to go to the cabin in Bryson City. It was so beautiful! We ate delicious food, watched Anchorman 2, walked around the mountain and just had a general good time together.
I also turned the cabin into a bouquet studio.
We bought a new car we're calling The Gray Ghost. Jared needed a nicer car for his new job, and this was the perfect one for us!
Mama's birthday is New Year's Eve, so we went out to Provino's and she enjoyed a free lunch and dessert! I love Mama!
Mama's gave me this cute red star for Christmas, so I hung it over the kitchen window to let the light shine through it. Also, my dishes are clean and the sink is empty for the first time in forever.
I hope y'all have a great weekend and stay warm!
